Welcome to Automotive Technology! I hope that you are as excited to be here as I am! 

My name is Mr. Randal Rue. I am one of the automotive instructors for the Henry County Academy for Advanced Studies. My background stems from a career in the automotive industry. I pursued my automotive degree from Penn Foster College while I worked as a technician for Yaughn Tire and Auto Service in Fort Valley, GA. Once I obtained my degree, I was able to bring those skills with me into the dealership world. While working as a General Motors technician, my career led me to pursue multiple certifications within the General Motors brand. From there, I moved on to working as a technician and Service Advisor for Hyundai.

My career has led me to pursue a way to bring my skills and knowledge to the younger generation of today. I was given the opportunity to become an automotive instructor here at the academy, and I was surprised how much I enjoyed being able to help my students learn valuable skills and help guide them into potentially lucrative careers. It is my hope that I can show my students that they are important for the future of tomorrow, as well as the future of the automotive industry. 

While pursuing my own education in a bachelor's of science program outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, fishing and hunting. I also enjoy taking my bass boat out for days on the lake.
