The Technology Student Association (TSA) enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intra-curricular activities, competitions, leadership training and related programs. TSA is accelerating student member achievement and supporting teachers and TSA chapter advisors by providing engaging opportunities to develop STEM skills.
TSA has partnered with CompTIA, a non-profit association that serves as the voice of the information technology (IT) industry, to expand STEM opportunities, competitions, and leadership development, and help fill the STEM/IT pipeline. Watch this Video about TSA: https://vimeo.com/323721730

    Parents

Your most important role as a TSA parent is to encourage and support your student as they engage in TSA activities. This could involve volunteering to help drive to a competition, helping to provide support through a TSA parent booster group, supporting fundraising initiatives, volunteering to judge at a local, state or national conference, or just being “on call” for the chapter advisor when they need an additional set of hands.

Whether your student is just starting out as a TSA member or has been a member for many years, you can have a significant impact on their experience by being an interested and enthusiastic partner in their TSA experience. For specific ideas on how you can best help your child’s chapter, contact the TSA advisor at their school.
