    Welcome to our site.  Students in the Energy & Power: Generation, Transmission, & Distribution pathway and Electronics pathway will be utilizing various resources to further their understanding of their respective pathways.  Working together, we will have a successful year of growth in preparing ourselves for the workforce, including understanding the base content while enhancing our  industry understanding and employability skills. 

     

    Instructor Bio & Availability

    Pathway Trainer:  Kipling Hart, Ed.D. 

    • background in the hard sciences
    • attended Emory University (chemistry/biology), Georgia Southern University (secondary science), and Nova Southeastern University (brain-based learning; instructional leadership)
    • experienced instructor of chemistry, physics, and anatomy in science departments in southeast Georgia
    • served as an instructional coach for a high school
    • developed the Energy and Power program for another career academy 
    • has participated in teams writing national energy curriculum, including as a member of the national CEWD Steering Committee for Energy Industry Fundamentals.
    • member of the Georgia Association of Educators and Georgia Association of Career and Technical Education (GACTE)
    • active in understanding the best practices and policies to improve educational systems
    • currently serves as GACTE Vice-President for Engineering and Technology education.  

    Students pursuing the Energy and Power pathway are exposed to a breadth of careers ranging from linework to plant operators, engineers, radiologic technicians, and a host of other opportunities in the business of the energy industry.
