About me
Hello, I am Mrs. Kimberly Williams and I look forward to an amazing semester with your students. I started out teaching middle school in 2008, then left the classroom to reenter the fascinating world of Pharmaceutical Chemistry where I served as an R&D Assistant Scientist II Method Validation/QA Reviewer. I missed the allure of education, so I returned to the classroom in 2013 where I taught Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science for 7 years. Since 2021, I have been teaching at The Academy for Advanced Studies and have had the opportunity to teach Chemistry, Forensic Science, Physical Science, Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, Honors Chemistry, Biology, and AP Biology.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Johnson C. Smith University in 1999. I went on to further my education at Southeast Missouri State University where I pursued a Master of Natural Science degree in Chemistry with a Forensic Science Option in 2001-03. I also recieved my Master’s of Arts degree in Secondary Education at Columbus State University in 2024.
Aside from teaching, my husband, Frank, and I have two amazing children, Zach and Brooklyn, who are both students in Henry County.
