My name is Gemma Erickson, and I am proud to be a part of the Woodland High School Wolfpack! I am originally from Minnesota, but growing up with a dad in the army, I was fortunate to travel around the country and overseas. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s in Education from Walden University. I am certified to teach Early Childhood Education (Pre-K), Elementary Education (K-5), Middle Grades Language Arts and Reading, as well as Special Education (P-12).
I began my teaching career in 1999 at an elementary school in North Dakota. Since then, I have taught at seven additional schools, serving in roles as a Grades 2-5 teacher, Math Instructional Coach, and Math Early Interventionist.
I have a true passion for working with all children! It is a blessing to be an active participant in a child’s educational journey, and I am honored to contribute to their academic, social, and life skills development. My goal is to foster a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive and fun environment.
Personally, I am the mother of a Woodland High School graduate (Class of 2023). I enjoy coloring, especially with my Ohuhu markers (I own way too many). I read for enjoyment nightly and LOVE completing rides on my Peloton (both at home and at the gym). I am a family person, and my favorite days are spent with my daughter, Eliza; my sister, Amanda; and my mom, Aida.
I look forward to another amazing year with an awesome group of learners!
