Dear Parents and Students,
We want to make you aware of our policy regarding students and supervision after school. Unsupervised students may not be inside the school building after 3:30pm. Students should wait for their transportation in front of the building. After 3:30pm, all students not picked up are considered to be in an unauthorized area and are subject to a disciplinary referral. In addition, crossing attendance lines permission may be revoked.
It is vital that all students participating in after-school activities or sports remain under the direct supervision of an adult at all times. Students and parents should arrange for all students involved in school-sponsored activities to be picked up at the completion of their activity. Students should be picked up in a timely manner. If this becomes a problem, the student may be removed from the team or not allowed to attend school sponsored activities.
We would strongly encourage all parents to communicate with your child's teachers and coaches to be certain your child is attending after school tutoring or practice. We often find that students are using this time to socialize instead of going to tutoring or practice.
Sincerely,
WHS Administration
