Welcome to 9th grade English I students!!

I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  I have a B.S. and M. Ed in Middle Grades Education, an Ed. S. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development, and I am gifted certified.  This is my 16th year teaching English. I have served as the ELA department chair for 5 years, 4 years as the grade level chair, and 3 years as the SST chair at WMS. This year I will serve as the Reading MTSS chair at WHS.

Aside from teaching, I have worked for the Duke TIP CRISIS program for 5 summers as the Broadcast and Print Media Instructor in St. Louis, MO, St. Petersburg, FL, and Decatur, GA.  When I am not in a classroom, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, shopping, reading, and going to restaurants with friends and family. I especially enjoy spending time with my niece and four nephews.
