Biography
Mr. Tabares is presently the Drafting and Design Instructor here at Woodland High School. Previously, he taught at Dutchtown High School, Griffin and Spaulding High School. Before that he had an Architectural Design business in California and here in Georgia for 15 years.
Mr. Tabares has a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University. He attended Georgia State University to acquire his teaching certification.
While at Dutchtown High School he taught various levels of Eng. and Architectural Drawing courses along with Digital Media, Computer Apps, and Video Broadcast. He was the advisor for Skills USA and has had students place in the top 3 at state competitions.
He was selected as teacher of the year 2006-2007 and has received other awards and certificates.
He was the boy’s tennis coach for 4 years and has lead them to region winners and runner up. He enjoys sports and usually found at many of the events.
In 2020 he worked with Woodland High Gymnastic program as assistant coach.
