Growing up in Virginia, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I received my formal training at Spelman College and North Carolina State University where I earned a BA in Mathematics and a MEd in Mathematics Education, respectively. My experience includes teaching high school mathematics in Virginia and Georgia, working as an Aerospace Education Specialist for the NASA Aerospace Education Services Program, and teaching in the College of Education and Health Professions at Columbus State University.
I look forward to working with my students as we travel to the next stage of their mathematics journey. We will be exploring mathematics as a problem-solving tool, exploring new relationships, and making connections to the real world. Hopefully, everyone will leave the class with new and/or improved tools in their math toolbox.
