The Computer Science Honor Society at Woodland High School was chartered in 2020. We encourage enthusiasm for computer science and promote and recognize academic excellence and service among high school computer science students. Started by CodeVA initially to serve Virginia teachers and with the help of CSTA, CSHS now manages this project with 160 other CSHS’s across the country.
All high schools that offer computer science classes are eligible to start and maintain a chapter, under the guidance of a faculty advisor. Students must meet academic requirements in computer science classes and complete service hours to augment the computer science education they receive in their schools.
In addition to chapter opportunities, members receive a personalized Computer Science Honor Society membership certificate and official society pin, and are eligible to apply for a graduation cord.
