My dearest student,

I am SO thrilled that you have asked me to write a recommendation for you! However, I want to make sure that I write the best recommendation possible, so I want you to tell me everything about you. This is your chance to brag about all of the wonderful things you have done in high school. This is your chance to highlight all of the accomplishments your blood, sweat, and tears have earned you over the years! This survey is lengthy, but I don't want to leave ANYTHING out when I get the opportunity to tell other people how AMAZING you are!

With that being said, keep in mind that I am extremely busy during the school year (with grading, teaching, meetings, and all of that great teacher stuff), and I will need time to collect my thoughts, sit down, and write. I ask that you please give me a good two weeks to complete your recommendation, and remind me again (just in case) when the deadline comes within a week. I don't want you to miss out on an opportunity because of your (or my own) procrastination.
