Class of 2024 - Second to None!

Welcome Back Eagles! I am so excited about this school year - my sixth year here at The Landing!! Before joining the Eagle's Landing family in 2018, I served as a social studies teacher in Fayette County (1987-2002) and as the Georgia State Superintendent of Schools (2003-2010). I also served two terms in the Georgia General Assembly as a state representative (1998-2002). I hold both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Political Science from Emory University. I also have the unique claim to be the very first Million Dollar winner on the game show "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" Students need to ask me more about this experience ...

1st Block - 8:15 am - 9:40 am - Planning

• Instructional Focus - 9:40 am - 10:00 am

2nd Block - 10:05 am - 11:30 am - AP US Government and Politics

3rd Block - 11:35 am - 1: 45 pm - AP US Government and Politics

• 1 st Lunch - 11:52 - 12:17 pm

4th Block - 1:50 pm - 3:15 pm  - Government/Economics

Office hours: Daily (M-F) 3:15 pm - 3:45 pm . I won't be available before school starts this year as I am the morning bus driver for the AAS students.
