If students are late to class (except 1st Block), they must present a tardy pass from the Tardy Kiosk or a valid note from a teacher or administrator. If students are late to 1st Block, they must provide either a late bus pass or a late check-in pass from the Attendance Office. Passes from the Tardy Kiosk are not to be used during 1st Block. Level 1.7 - Misuse of Electronic Communication Devices: Unauthorized possession, displaying or using a cell phone, pager, or other electronic communication device* during the school day without the consent of the principal or his/her designee.
*Electronic communication devices include, but are not limited to, smart watches (Apple Watches, Samsung Galaxy Watches, tablets, and more).*
Level 2.3 - Violation of Electronic and Technology Policy: Misuse of electronic or technological resources or devices, including , but not limited to, *filming and/or posting images without the permission of the individuals(s) being depicted*, unauthorized access to the system network, creating or using the email or messaging account of another without permission to send communications.
*This is an addition in the 2022-2023 Code of Conduct.
ELHS Cell Phone Policy
Students may use their cell phone under the following guidelines:

in class with teacher permission

in non-instructional spaces (i.e. commons, hallways, etc.)
*Signs are posted to identify cell phone zones*

In the cell phone zones(hallways, commons, etc), students who use headphones/earbuds, should have it in one ear and out of one ear.
