Welcome Message
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about 2019-2020 school year. I look forward to this opportunity to work with new students and help them work towards their academic and personal goals. It is my goal to provide students with an educationally challenging and enjoyable learning experience.
I have been a science educator in the metro Atlanta area for almost 20 years. During my teaching career, I have taught Physical Science, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Advanced Placement (AP) Chemistry. I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University and I have a master's degree in secondary science education from Mercer University. I recently completed my PhD from the University of Georgia. My dissertation research focused on student performance in the freshman chemistry sequence and how it influences their persistence in STEM majors.
