Henry County Online Academy (HCOA)

Henry County Online Academy (HCOA) is Henry County's supplemental online program that provides students with access and opportunities to take courses virtually that they may not be able to take at their home school for any number of reasons.  HCOA also provides students the opportunity to take additional courses on top of their regularly scheduled home school courses through paid course enrollment.  Students will remain actively enrolled in their home school, but they will gain a secondary line of enrollment with HCOA to take the online courses.

Students that need to take an online course during their school day at their home school will have the HCOA course added to their regularly scheduled day.  Students are able to take one full credit (or two half credits) each semester for free as long as the courses fit in their regularly scheduled day.  Home school counselors will need to review and approve any HCOA courses prior to students being enrolled.

Students that opt to add on additional courses outside their regularly scheduled day will have the course added to an additional period on their schedule and will need to submit payment for the courses prior to being enrolled.  Students should consult with their home school counselor prior to paying for any additional courses to ensure accurate enrollment.

Unfortunately, HCOA is not for full-time enrollment. Impact Academy serves students in full-time online enrollment. Students are limited to one credit per semester (either 1 full credit or 2 half credits) unless they pay for extra courses outside their school-day schedule.
