Adult Education
The Adult Education Program in Henry County provides instruction in basic education, GED (General Education Diploma) preparation. The classes are offered at the Southern Crescent Technical College, Henry County Center located at 300 Lakemont Drive in McDonough. Please call 770-914-4422 for details. Classes are offered mornings from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm; afternoon from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm; and evening from 6:00 pm - 9:00pm. Registration is required. Participants must bring a valid ID.
To enroll in a class, an individual should register and attend orientation. To be eligible, an individual must be over 18 years-of-age and not enrolled in school. Individuals who are 16 or 17 must receive permission from the Adult Education Office. To become eligible, students must have a withdrawal form from the last school attended. Also, an underage application, provided by the adult education program, must be completed.
