    Facility

    The Henry County Performing Arts Center in McDonough is a roughly 28,000 square foot facility including:

    • Proscenium stage
    • Seating for 716 in fixed seats and 9 removable wheelchair positions for a total of 725 available seats
    • Ancillary spaces including an orchestra pit, 2 chorus-style dressing rooms, restroom facilities, public restrooms, lobby, and offices

    Internet Access/WiFi

    • Free WiFi is provided by Henry County Schools
    • Search for available WiFi networks, select "HCS_Guest" and agree to user terms 
    • Certain sites are blocked:
      • To protect the integrity and security of the network
      • Complying with state and federal laws
      • Protect against inappropriate subject matter
      • Protect bandwidth to ensure adequate resources for instructional purposes
      • The availability of internet service is subject to all terms and conditions contained within the user agreement
      • No service is guaranteed, nor should there be any expectations of speed or quaility of service

    Parking

    • Adequate free parking is located on the facility's campus
    • The loading dock area is for loading and unloading only
    • Double parking, parking on grass areas is not allowed

    House Seating

    • 716 fixed with 9 wheelchair positions
      • Entry from the lobby is from center house left between rows M and N
    • Distance from downstage apron to back wall is approximately 87'
    • Distance from balcony front to back wall is approximately 41'

    Loading Area

    • Loading area is located on the south-east side of the building. Trucks and tractor trailers should use the Hwy 81 or Lemon Street entrance.
    • Access is at ground level. Lift gate may be required.
    • One (1) bus hook-up is available for an extra charge in the loading area (50A RV plug)
    • No parking is allowed in this area. Only park in marked spaces.
    • Do not block other vehicles or the loading area - YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO TOWING
    • Sets & Equipment Loading
      • Maximum dimensions for set pieces to fit through the doors are 5'4" x 7'10"
      • Access to stage is straight through a set of double doors with removable mullion
      • All set pieces must be hand carried or transported by wheeled cart
      • It is expected that your crew will take every precaution to prevent damage to the facility and furnishings while moving props and sets
      • All casters on scenery platforms must be adequately sized to carry the load and must be polyurethane and in good working order
      • Actors and crew are not to slide or drag set pieces across the floor in the wings or on stage
      • All set construction must take place off site with assembly on stage
      • If any items have rough finished bottoms, felt will be required to prevent damage to the stage floor
      • Painting
        • Touch-up painting requires permission from PAC Supervisor
        • Care is required to protect floors, walls and draperies during minor touch-up painting on stage
        • All other painting must be done outdoors in the parking lot area, which must be protected from direct spills, splatters, or overspray
        • Please make arrangements to remove all items from the building immediately following your performance, as we maintain a full calendar of events and lack storage space for future pick-up

    Other

    • The PAC does not contain a costume shop, scene shop, rehearsal/warm-up room, green room, ticket booth or production office
    • 400A company switch is available. Bare wire connector is required. The PAC does not provide bare wire to camlock cable.
    • Ticketing is the responsibility of the event sponsor
    • Upon request, the PAC can furnish tables in the lobby for ticketing activities
    • GLITTER IS PROHIBITED IN ALL FORMS - VIOLATORS ARE SUBJECT TO A CLEANING FEE
