I am so excited to welcome you to your MOST EXCITING year of middle school where we will continue to EXCEED EXPECTATIONS EVERYDAY.  In my classroom, I work hard to create an environment where each scholar feels safe and empowered while they continue to develop the skills needed to be successful throughout middle school.

    Congratulations and welcome to 8th grade! You are OFFICIALLY the SENIORS at ARMS!  Get ready to make your mark at ARMS!  I am so excited to be your teacher, and I look forward to a fun and productive year together.  As an 8th grade scholar at ARMS you will have many expectations and responsibilities, which will shape your bright future. 

    I want to share a few things about myself.  I am the mother of three amazing girls and one handsome son. I also have two of the most adorable fur babies ever! I was born and raised in the brightest city of Brooklyn, New York. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University, which is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I earned my Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Troy University, located in Troy, Alabama. I earned my Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University, located in Harrogate, Tennesse. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. I have been an educator since 2001. Teaching has forever been my heart, and I am passionate about the education of our youth.  I value your input, and I thank you in advance for your support during this exciting school year.

    In my classroom, I work hard to promote a tight-knit community.  I believe in creating a safe learning environment so my scholars feel safe to take risks.  I work hard all year long building a classroom that encourages respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students.  I believe that in order for us to achieve our highest potential, we must work as a team.
