Mr. Jay Patel

My name is Mr. Jay Patel and I would like to welcome your scholar to my Social Studies class. This is my 7th year of teaching. I received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education from Georgia State University. I am certified in Middle Grades (4-8) Social Studies. I have previously taught 7th grade Social Studies and 6th grade Science. I look forward to working with the students at ARMS to provide scholars with a new style of thinking and using their imaginations while exploring various aspects of Social Studies. I am also the Head Boys Varsity Soccer coach at Stockbridge High School and will be entering my 5th season as head coach. 

I look forward to getting to know you and your scholar this year. I am available to meet with parents during my planning time which is from 2.45pm until 3.45pm. I am also available before school from 8am until 8.30am. If you would like to schedule a parent conference, please feel free to email me. Conferences with parents during instructional time will not be available. I check my email daily, therefore it will be the most efficient way to get in contact with me. I am a believer in team work and together we can conquer the most important job in our lives and that is to help your scholar become what they can be. I am excited with having this challenge and look forward to being a part of your scholar's education. It is an honor and priviledge to be your scholar's Social Studies educator this year and look forward to the partnership between educator and parent.
