    Hello Jaguar Nation,
     
      I am Christopher Willis. I am one of the paraprofessional at Austin Road Middle School. I am a graduate of Mercer University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Information System. I worked for IBM before i finished my degree and worked there for five years. After the ".com" bubble popped, I started my on lawn and landscape business where I was able to negotiate my first commercial contract with Boeing after being in business less than a year. I maintained the lawn maintenance and lanscaping for Airtran flight training facility.
     
      After a brief health scare, I started into the education arena. I was hired as a paraprofessional in kindergarden at Oakland Elementary. There I worked with children who had learning and health deficiency. I transferred to Austin Road Middle after 3 months to fill a position in the EBD unit where I learned how to support students with learning and behavioral disabilites. Now, I support ESE scholars in the general education setting for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I am also one of the boys basketball coach at ARMS, and varsity softball at Stockbridge High School. I also help mentor our young men through Young Men of Excellence which is our male mentoring program at ARMS.
     
      I am looking forward to meeting and supporting the rising 6th graders and continued support for the 7th and 8th grade scholars that I have supported this past year. I am here to help and to make your middle school years be as successful as I can. My mother always says," anything worth doing, is worth doing well". Lets have a great year!
