Salutations Jaguar Family!

Congratulations and welcome to 8th grade! You are OFFICIALLY the SENIORS at ARMS!  Get ready to make your mark at ARMS!  I am so excited to be your teacher, and I look forward to a fun and productive year together.  As an 8^th grade scholar at ARMS you will have many expectations and responsibilities, which will shape your bright future. 

I want to share a few things about myself.  I am the mother of three amazing girls and one handsome son. I also have two of the most adorable fur babies ever! I was born and raised in the brightest city of Brooklyn, New York. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University, which is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I earned my Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Troy University, located in Troy, Alabama. I earned my Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University, located in Harrogate, Tennesse. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. I have been an educator since 2001. Teaching has forever been my heart, and I am passionate about the education of our youth.  I value your input, and I thank you in advance for your support during this exciting school year.

In my classroom, I work hard to promote a tight-knit community.  I believe in creating a safe learning environment so my scholars feel safe to take risks.  I work hard all year long building a classroom that encourages respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students.  I believe that in order for us to achieve our highest potential, we must work as a team.
