    Monday: 
    Syllabus distributed
    Review classroom Rules and Procedures.
    Students wrote a one page letter of introduction to Mrs. Peden. 
     
    Tuesday: 
    Students took notes over character archetypes. 
    Classes viewed video clips of each archetype and discussed their features.
     
    Wednesday:
     Students finished discussing character archetypes. Classes began discussing the Epic of Gilgamesh.

    Tuesday: Tragic Hero Essay Assignment: Who is the tragic hero of the play Antigone? Students complete thesis statements. 
     
    Wednesday: Students will gather textual evidence from the drama to support their thesis statements using outline.
     
    Thursday: Students will write a rough draft of their essay in class using essay outline. Students should complete the rough draft for homework. 
     
    Friday: Students will write a final draft of their essay. All essays are due at the end of class!
