Austin Road Middle School strives to develop a nurturing school community that encourages academic success for each scholar through a rigorous curriculum and extracurricular opportunities supported by dedicated teachers and staff.

I am Mrs. Heena Patel. I am going to be your 6^th Grade Earth Science teacher. I welcome you all to another wonderful academic year ahead. 

I was born and raised in INDIA, a land of the Himalayas and with an incredible culture. My area of interest since childhood has been Science and I hold a master’s degree in science along with a bachelor’s in education. I am certified in Broad Field Science(6-12), Chemistry (6-12), Middle School Science(4-8), Middle School Reading(4-8) and Gifted Endorsed. Being in the field of education is my passion. This is my 30^th year teaching and 4th year at ARMS. It gives me immense joy to be one who can make a difference in the life of a child. I am blessed with opportunities to cater to students at elementary, middle and high school levels.

My backbone is my family, consisting of a loving husband who is a professor in Engineering college, an adorable daughter who is a dentist and a caring son who is an engineer. I have one sibling.

My favorite colors are black, white and all shades of blue. I love cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family. I believe in being simple and spiritual. Happiness for others and myself is my wish for life.
