ELHS Recovery Programs Information
Speak with Dr. Prothro or your counselor about enrollment in recovery.
The ELHS Credit Recovery Program is for students who have failed a course, and thus are missing a credit that is needed to meet all graduation requirements. It offers students an alternative method for completing courses required for graduation. Recovery options are offered on a case-by-case basis. The Graduation Coach and counselor will complete a transcript audit, and credit needs will determine the recovery option that will be offered.
Credit Recovery is an online, independent virtual course offered through Georgia Virtual.
Credit Mastery includes teacher-directed instruction, online courses, or standards-based testing offered through Imagine Learning (Edgenuity), Illuminate, and other platforms. Students must adhere to the deadlines set by the ELHS Recovery Program, which allows students to complete classes faster in a more flexible structure. Credit will be awarded for successful and full completion at a mastery level of at least 70% or higher (including the EOC score, if applicable). No matter the grade on the recovery work, the student will be awarded a 70 for the course, which is equivalent to one (1) credit.
