Welcome to Ms. Riley's Web Page
Hello wonderful parents and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Lisa Riley and this year I will be working with your child. Before I tell you how much I love teaching, here's a little background about me.
In 2008, I relocated from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and joined the Mt. Carmel family. My educational background begins with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethune-Cookman College (now Bethune-Cookman University) and a graduate degree where I received a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University. This year will be my 24th year teaching. I began my educational career in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I taught for 10 years. During that time, I taught first and second grade, Science k-5, along with reading support grades 3-5. The past 14 years at Mt. Carmel, I taught First, Second and Third Grade, along with Early Intervention Program (EIP) grades k-5.
I sincerely enjoy working with and being around children. Not only do I have the pleasure of being a part of their growing and maturing, but I learn from them as well. My belief is that every child can learn and it is up to me to ensure that learning occurs. I am looking forward to a positive year with all of my students. If there are any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Together, we can make this year a success for your child.
