    History of Mrs. Simpson:
     
    Welcome to my class.  My name is Kellie Turner Simpson.  I have been involved in Mt. Carmel for 20 years.  I am married to David Moore Simpson and have two beautiful daughters.  One is in her 2nd year at UGA and the other will be a junior at Ola High School.  Both of my daughters attended MCE.  My mother also opened MCE and taught 1st grade. 
     
    I have been working as an educator of Exceptional students for 14 years.  I have a variety of experiences from SID/PID, MOID, to Orthopedic Impaired.  I am also dually certified in Special Education and General Education.  It is such a blessing to have your child in my class.  I look forward to assisting your child in reaching his or her potential.
     
    My goal, as an educatior, is to guide your child towards academic success and to help build their skills.  These skills will help them as they blossom into adulthood. I will keep you informed regarding your child's progress.  I will send home "Mustang Mail" every Friday, along with graded papers.  The grading system is based on their individual goals that are recorderd every day.
     
    Parent involvement is vital to enrich their lives.  You can reach me any time at school or through my email at kellie.simpson@henry.k12.ga.us and I check my email 3 times a day.   YOu can also add ay concerns in the Google Classroom as well as on Remind which can be uploaded to your cell phone.  My class is named Simpson 20-21. You can also call the school for emergencies at 770-897-9799.
