Mrs. Jaime Terrell

Greetings Mustang Family,

I am Jaime Terrell, the Art Teacher at Mt. Carmel Elementary. This is my 20th year in education. In addition to art, I have taught Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. I also have my gifted endorsement. I have a wonderful husband of 20 years, and my daughter is beginning her film-making career at Georgia State University. 

It is my goal to expose the artists of Mt. Carmel to as many artists and mediums as possible so that they can explore and establish a connection to the arts. Students will work with oil pastels, clay, paint, collage, printmaking, and many other materials. I integrate reading, science, social studies, math, geography and other topics of study within my art curriculum. I love for students to learn in new ways with hands-on experiences. 

Please remember art can be messy and dress students accordingly on their art week (Monday-Friday). We are always in need of baby wipes and tissues, as we use them constantly in class, if you feel led to donate. I am available on Class Dojo or via email jaime.terrell@henry.k12.ga.us.
