Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome! I am SO excited about the 2024-2025 school year! I look forward to this being an exciting year full of learning, and I hope that I can help make that learning exciting and rewarding for each child that I teach! I am looking forward to working with each of you and developing a partnership with you where we can watch your child learn and grow together this school year!
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. This is my 7th year at Mount Carmel Elementary School. However, this is my 25th year in education. I have taught first, second, and fourth grade, but I have spent 19 of my 25 years teaching 3rd grade! This will be my second year teaching EIP, and I am so very excited! I have a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy, and I am also ESOL certified!
I have a 19-year-old son, named Zach! He will be a second year college student this year, and is working on a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and then wants to go on to earn his Master's degree in Computer Science! He is into anything related to math, science, and computers! He also loves cats, as do I. Currently, we have three cats living with us! Their names are Lucky, Fudge, and Bella! They make for some interesting times around our house some days:)! My son is my world! He gives me purpose and meaning in life, as I'm sure your children do for you, and I always strive to treat each child that I teach the way that I would want him to be treated. My favorite things are Coke Zero, chocolate, and anything chicken:)! I love to eat at Chick-fil-A, Zaxby's, and Chili's! I also enjoy shopping, selling on Ebay, thrifting, watching TV, singing, and hanging out with my friends and family!
Always feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns. My contact information is above. I look forward to working with you and your child this year! May we all make it a year full of love, laughter, and learning!
