Welcome Parents and Students,

I am Mrs. Ross a fourth grade teacher here at Mt. Carmel Elemenatary.  Let me introduce myself.  I have been teaching in Henry County for 32 years.  I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.  I have taught at Hampton Elementary and Mt. Carmel Elementary.  I am married to a wonderful husband, Steve and we have a beautiful daughter, Taylor.  We have two horses, Pebbles and Josey, and a dog named Chip.   I enjoy hands on experiences. 

 I use the ROCK Behavior program for the school.  R = Respect  O= Ownership   C = Cooperation   K = Keep at it.  The student will be rewarded when taking these actions.   I also use Remind to communicate with you.  The code will be sent to log in.   Within the classroom, I use a redirect, redirect, and reflect system.  When a child is misbehaving, they will get a redirect from me.  The 2nd redirect we will have a conversation about their behavior.  The third time it is a reflect on their behavior and how their behavior disrupted the class.    The ROCK behavior chart, Second Step, all work hand in hand.   At the end of the day, the child will be rewarded points for mustang money.  

 I will provide a positive learning environment, full of encouragement and support.  I am anxious to see that your child succeeds this year.  I thank you in advance for your support, comments, and/or suggestions.  By working together, we can make this a successful year!
