    Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year.  I am excited to start another year with new challenges and new opportunities!  This is my seventeenth year teaching and my fourteenth year at Union Grove.  This year I will be teaching both AP Precalculus and AP Calculus AB.  Both of these classes are rigorous, but more importantly, achievable courses and I look forward to engaging with all students as well as the math.
     
    I am a graduate of Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, GA.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from Clayton State University and my Masters of Education in Secondary Mathematics from Georgia State University.  I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two children.
     
    In response to a commonly asked student question, yes, I do REALLY like math!  I love the never-ending possibilities of math, the logic of it and how much of the world around us is explained by mathematics!  I encourage all students to do their best throughout the year and to remain current in all work.  If or when you are unsure of something, ask! I am ready to help you however I can, just speak up! I know that communication between parents, students and teachers is an integral part of success, so if you have any questions during the year please just ask.
