About Mrs. Portwood:
Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, I received both of my degrees from FSU. Yes, I bleed garnet and gold! I started teaching art in 1992. I have taught at Stockbridge Middle, Union Grove Middle and Union Grove High. Both of my children, Georgia and John, have attended school in the UG cluster as well as my husband. We all have Wolverine pride!
I love teaching art, most especially high school. The main focus in art is the production with history and criticism mixed in. If you don't like to get messy, you might not like this class! As always, I take a very GREEN approach and feel that encouraging my students to be environmentally conscience is a necessity.
