    I am a self-proclaimed fantasy and science fiction geek, a trait I share with my husband, my son, my daughter, my son-in-law, and, someday hopefully, my grandson. My husband, son, and I live in Ellenwood with a cat, two dogs, and three antique cars.

    In addition to reading voraciously, I also enjoy hiking, travel, gardening, and a variety of fiber arts, including hand spinning, knitting, and weaving. If you ever go to the Renaissance Festival you may see me demonstrating the ancient art of spinning wool into yarn. I am also involved in drama ministry at my church. On Labor Day weekends you might find me in downtown Atlanta at Dragon*Con.

    My teaching experience has taken place in a wide range of settings, including public schools, private schools, home school programs, business colleges, and corporate training. I have been teaching in the Henry County Schools since 2009. In addition to my teaching jobs, I worked for several years as a writer and editor.
