  • It is my pleasure to serve as McDonough High School’s Early Childhood Education Instructor. I bring a wealth of knowledge from my years of educating as an elementary teacher, a high school teacher, a teacher mentor, and a teacher leader.

I am a Georgia native who loves to educate and serve with eminence. I am the daughter of the first African American student to attend Tift County Junior High in Tifton, Ga.  While attending public schools in Dougherty County, I knew I wanted to enter the field of education as a young child. I attended Darton College where I receive my first degree, an Associate of Science in Teacher Education. I continued my education at Georgia Southwestern State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Sociology.

After graduation, I immediately began working in a school system to educate young minds. As an early childhood educator, I have had teaching experience with 2 and 3-year-old children and Pre-k through fifth-grade students. I have taught at educational facilities in Florida and Southwest Georgia. Over the past few years, I returned to Georgia Southwestern State University and obtained a Master’s degree and a Specialist degree in Education. I plan to be an inspirational and influential educator to my high school students while sharing my knowledge and practices with my colleagues at THEE McDonough High School. I believe this generation needs someone to help them bridge the gap to have and excel in a successful academic career and I am that someone.
