• Welcome!

My name is Kidada Holtzclaw and I am a proud PE department chair and teacher of McDonough High School. The courses that I teach are Health and Personal Fitness. I am also excited to be entering my second year as the Head Girls' basketball coach. I started my career in education as a collegiate basketball coach in 1999. My first coaching stint was at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX where I also began graduate school. I then moved on to coach at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and finally at Troy University in Troy, AL. In 2007, I moved to Georgia, where I began a new career as a high school basketball coach.

I found my niche here in Georgia, and with coaching high school basketball. I really enjoy preparing young ladies to play at the next level. I am proud to have coached over 20 young ladies who have earned college basketball scholarships. I chose to lead the Lady Warhawks Basketball program in 2023 after seeing the potential for success and meeting the super-supportive administrative staff who wanted to see the girls win.

My philosophy of education is that students need tools and resources to be successful. What better way to give it to them than through an educational setting? My intentions are to provide those things through enthusiasm and opportunity.
