• My name is Whitney Jones. I want to take a minute and introduce myself. This is my 17th year in Henry County Schools. This is my first year at Mt. Carmel Elementary School, where I am excited about teaching Kindergarten. I was previously an instructional coach for five years and I enjoyed the opportunities I had each day to work with teachers and students. In the classroom, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and EIP.

I attended Locust Grove Elementary as a student from kindergarten through fifth grade. I am a graduate of Henry County Schools. I graduated from Union Grove High School in 2003. I attended Gordon College from 2003-2005. I completed my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Special Education at Macon State College in 2007. In June 2007 I began my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Math from Walden University. I received my Master's Degree in December 2008.

I have been married for 16 years and have two beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories with them. I also enjoy going to the beach and reading. Reading is my favorite pastime!
