Subjects: Honors Biology and AP Biology

This is my 15th year teaching science in Henry County and I am excited to get to know you and share my love of science. This is my fourth year at Union Grove, but I taught at Luella High and Henry County High/Academy of Advanced Studies.  I have a B.S. from CSU in Biology, a M.Ed from GCSU in Secondary Science Education, and an Ed.S from VSU in Curriculum and Instruction for Science Education, so I know what it's like to be a student. I am also certified in gifted education, online teaching, and AP Biology.  I live in Henry County with my husband, Darryl, our 3 kids: Ezra (12), Asa (8), Quinn (5), two cats: Tinky and Taji, and a bunny named Daisy. Biology is the study of all living things and their interactions and I am working hard to make this your favorite class. The best way to learn science is to get your hands in it, so I can't wait for you to look at your cells under a microscope, extract DNA from living things, and dissect frogs with you this year!!! All of our course materials will be posted in Google Classroom, so be sure to bring your Chromebooks to class each day.
