Dual Enrollment is when a high school student (10th-12th grades) can take college courses and receive both high school and college credit at the same time. Although 9th grade students will not be able to participate in Dual Enrollment, their 9th grade year could affect them from participating in Dual Enrollment as an upperclassman (10th-12th grader). Furthermore, taking advanced classes in the 8th grade year can prepare students for the Dual Enrollment track in high school.
If you think you may be interested in your student participating in Dual Enrollment during high school, please click the link below to explore detailed information regarding the Dual Enrollment Program offered by Henry County Schools in conjunction with colleges/universities in Georgia. There will be information sessions held during the school year, usually in January. So, please be on the look out and be sure to participate in these sessions when possible.
