Greetings Wolverine Family! My name is Sarah Bass and it is my honor to serve on our amazing administrative team. The 2021-22 school year will begin my 21st  year in education, and 16th year serving the wonderful students of Henry County.

I am a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana where I earned the degree of Master of Education. Early in my teaching career a strong desire to explore leadership developed which led me to pursue a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Mercer University.

My educational philosophy is guided by my core beliefs of Faith, Family, and Kindness. I strive to embrace and continually reflect on these beliefs as I work with students, families, faculty, and the community.

Prior to becoming an administrator, I had the privilege of serving the UGMS community as choral director for 11 years. In that position I built many wonderful and lasting relationships with our community and now embrace the opportunity to continue building and fostering relationships in this new capacity.

I believe there to be no better place to call home than UGMS and Henry County. I am a not only proud to be an employee of Henry County Schools, but also a resident. I have called Henry County home for 16 years and I enjoy living life to the fullest with my amazing family. 

I know many wonderful things are in store for UGMS this year and I look forward to working with you in promoting UNITY, GROWTH, MATURITY, and SUCCESS by being PRESENT, PURPOSEFUL, and POWERFUL!
