Vision - Union Grove Middle School will be one of the top performing middle schools in the Atlanta metro area in both student achievement and growth indicators. We are committed to providing appropriately rigorous and engaging learning opportunities to our Wolverine students, while also affording student growth opportunities for all performance levels of Wolverine learners at Union Grove Middle School. The cornerstone of an effectively engaging and supportive learning environment hinges on connectivity with all Wolverine stakeholders along with community connections that can support and enhance the learning experience for our Middle School Wolverines. The combination of effective instruction and connectivity begins in our elementary feeder schools and extends into our high school, as we strive to ensure that all stakeholders at all levels are committed to the Wolverine Way from kindergarten to graduation, and that the short three-year time spent at UGMS is the vital mid-point of that 13 year journey. Through this intentional understanding of the vital importance of the middle school experience, we can ensure that our learners remain Wolverines for 13 years in the Union Grove family of schools.

Student Outcomes Narrative

  • Union Grove Middle School’s student outcomes information can be found on this dashboard.  This information includes:

    • Student Health Survey Responses
    • Literacy Proficiency Rates

The Student Health Survey is given to all Henry County students in the spring of each school year.  It is composed of a
variety of questions that help our district better understand the student experience in our schools.  The literacy information
is calculated as the percentage of students reading on or above grade level determined by scores on the Milestones
End-of-grade assessments for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in English Language Arts.  Each of these data components can be
viewed for the previous three years.  For more information about these measurements, please access the Union Grove Middle School website.
