    I am Mrs. Tamikia Samuels, and I'm the social studies teacher on Team 7-2. I have been teaching in the Middle School setting for my entire career and I love it! This school year will be my 26th year teaching, with the last 23 years being in Henry County Schools. I have also taught in the Clayton County and Houston County, Georgia School Systems.
     
    My certifications are in Middle Grades Education (math/social studies), Gifted In-Field, and Educational Leadership: Supervision and Administration. I have taught all academic subjects at the middle school level, except Science.  In addition, I am a former Business Technology teacher, as well as Career Explorations teacher.  My Alma Maters include Middle Georgia College (A.S. and A.A.), Fort Valley State University (B.S.), Columbus State University (M.Ed.), and Georgia College and State University (Ed.S.). I strongly believe that there is nothing like getting a great education! 
     
    In addition to education, I enjoy singing and spending quality time with my family.  
     
    I look forward to working with each of you and having an exciting, successful year of social studies, as we learn about Africa, Southwest Asia (Middle East), and Southern and Eastern Asia.
