Vision: Union Grove Middle School WILL ensure learning environments that promote leadership, engagement, advancement and diversity where we exceed Above and Beyond expectations.   

Belief: Each student can and will LEARN,GROW and ACHIEVE at high levels because we believe in UGMS.

Above and Beyond is the forward movement towards identifying expectations and exceeding those expectations.

School Improvement Goals

Goal #1 – Increase the percentage of students reading on or above grade level in 6th grade from 66 % to 69%, in 7th grade from 74% to 77%, and 8th grade from 73% to 76% as measured by the 2024 Spring MAP assessment. 

Goal #2 – Increase the percentage of ESE students scoring proficient or above on the 2024 Georgia Milestones End-of-Grade assessments in 6th grade ELA from 0% to 15%, in 7th grade ELA from 23% to 28%, and in 8th grade ELA from 15% to 25%.

Goal #3 – Increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or above grade level in math in 6th grade from 41% to 44%, in 7th grade from 47% to 50%, 8th grade from 46% to 49%. and Alg 1 from 82% to 85% as measured by the 2024 Georgia Milestones End-of Grade Assessment.
