My name is Coach Mark Mortimer and I am starting my 3rd year at Union Grove Middle School.  I have taught both 6th grade Science and 8th grade Social Studies and Science. This year I will be teaching strictly 6th grade Social Studies.  I coach football here at UGMS and also coach varsity baseball at Union Grove High School. I'm looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year!

My wife is the art teacher here at Union Grove Middle, Dr. Mortimer. We have been married for  20 years and have a 15-year-old son, Logan. Some interesting facts about myself are that I played professional baseball for the Atlanta Braves, and am a big Oregon Ducks fan. In my spare time, I also enjoy managing and coaching for my travel baseball program, BigStix Baseball.
