Welcome to my class!! I am so glad to get to know each and every parent and student that walks through my classroom door this year. I hope to build relationships with each of you and look forward to a great year. To get the ball rolling, here's some information about me.
I have been married for twenty-six years and am the mother of two beautiful children. My husband, Bryant, was a long-haul truck driver for 18 years. My daughter Taylor is a graduate of Valdosta State University and works as a Healthcare Recruiter. I also have a son, Bryant Jr. (Bj), who currently serves in the United States Army stationed in Hawaii! We have 1 dog; Charlie. :)
This is my nineteenth year teaching in Henry County. I pride myself on having a respectful, responsible and reliable environment in my classroom. I expect a lot of my students and in turn I give them my all each day I enter the building. As long as the rules of Rocky Creek and my classroom are followed, students are sure to have an exceptional year.
Parents, I believe communication is key to your child's success, so please feel free to contact me when you deem necessary. I will do my best to respond to you in a timely manner. I promise to always be respectful of your feelings and your position as a parent. I ask you to also be just as respectful and trust me in my role as an educator. My purpose is to educate your child to the best of my ability and I ask you to allow me to do so.
Students, I believe we all have a role to play this year. Your job requires you to put forth your best efforts at all times and to limit excuses by being responsible for your actions or lack thereof. I will do my best to help you however I can, but you have to first fulfill your end of the bargain.
I know this will be a great year because you have been placed in my class and I look forward to the wonderful memories we will make each day.
