Mr. Valenzuela

My name is Marc Valenzuela, and this 2024-25 school year marks my 22nd year as a teacher.  I have been here at Union Grove for nine of those years teaching 6th and 8th grade science, all grades for Mass Communications, a year teaching 8th grade Architecture, and serving as a gifted coordinator for the school for a few years.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida.  I love and enjoy all things related to technology and am always finding ways to make content creation easier and more efficiently for the students in my Mass Communication classes.  In this class we learn how to be efficient with computers, create digital artwork and advertisements, learn about photography and videography, and learn how to edit and create content, such as movies, movie posters, and websites.

My wife, who is also a teacher, and I have three children.  Our oldest just graduated from Union Grove High School and will be attending UGA this fall 2024.  We have two boys, age 15 and 11 who are also attending Union Grove Schools as 10th and 6th graders.
