Hello, my name is Mrs. Beaufort. I am originally from the state of Florida. I have taught for 27 years in elementary, middle, and high schools in North Carolina, Nebraska, Florida, and Georgia.
I am excited about my third year at McDonough High School. I am looking forward to providing various strategies to help each student be successful this year. There are several ways to help your student be more successful this school year. Have your student read a book of their choice daily for 20 minutes. Ask them the 5 W’s (Who, What, When, Where, & Why) about the text that they read. Encourage them to continue practicing the concepts learned in their previous grade level. Each student must have a solid foundation on which to build each new concept. Reading and vocabulary are the foundation your student will need to be successful this year.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thank you for the privilege of working with you and your student. Remember, I want your student to be successful this year and beyond. I look forward to a fantastic year!
