Lois Reed, 8th Grade Assistant Principal

  • Greetings Ola Family,

My name is Lois Reed and I am very excited to serve Ola Middle School and the Ola community as the new 6th grade assistant principal here at the amazing OMS.  I have had the honor of working at OMS for the past 15 years in a variety of roles. I taught 8th grade science for 12 years, and I was the Instructional and Personalized Learning Lead here for the past three years.  In my new role as assistant principal, I look forward to working with the students, parents, faculty, and staff at OMS to make it a great year for everyone.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Fort Valley State University in 1998, my Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University in 2006, and my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2008.  Most recently, I completed the HCS ASPIRE program which is a 12-month program designed to develop future leaders in Henry County in all facets of Educational Leadership.

Outside of education, I love spending time with my husband, Reggie and our three children, Aubrey (wife - Asha), Brittany (husband - Larry), Brian, and my beautiful grandson, Cohen.  We enjoy going on family vacations, playing board games and cards, and going to the movies.  We also all enjoy hanging out with our adorable dogs, Dougie and Storm.

I am really looking forward to this year and working with all of you.
