  • I am looking forward to the 2024-25 school year at Ola Middle School. This will be my fifth year at OMS. I am excited about teaching 8th grade math and Honors Algebra I again this year!  I LOVE math!

    A little about me...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am very proud to be at Ola Middle School again this year, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child.

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement and earned my Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.  I added my Gifted Endorsement in April of 2014. I have previously taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade. I am certified to teach elementary, all middle school academic subjects, and math from elementary through high school.  I also have my EdS (Specialist Degree in Education) in Media and Instructional Technology through the University of West Georgia.

I am married with two children. My husband, Ed Griffis, teaches 6th grade math at Ola Middle School. We have two sons, Ethan and Evan. Both of our sons will be in education this year. One will begin his teaching career at Union Grove High and the other will continue teaching at NCCA.

I truly believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher-student relationship. I will send regular newsletters via email and will have information on my webpage.

Please feel free to contact me if any questions or concerns may arise. Email is probably the best/fastest way to get a message to me.
