My name is Mr. Barfield and I am thrilled to be teaching Social Studies here at Ola Middle School. I have a passion for teaching especially History. I previously taught in Jones County and Baldwin County. This is my 8th year working with middle school students. I am certified to teach 6th-12th grade American History, World History, and Political Science.I wear many hats here at Ola. This year I am sponsoring the BETA club, Wrestling, and the National History Day Project.Georgia Studies is broken into four subjects matters; Geography, History, Political Science, and Economics. Here at OLA Middle School we have broken down this class into the following units:- Unit 1: Georgia Geography + Economics

If your student is struggling with the material they can come to after school tutoring. I will be free for tutoring on Mondays after school from 4:30-5:30. If these days do not work with your schedule please contact me using my email. I can adjust my schedule if contact is made in advance. Make sure that your student has an after school parent permission form and has a ride waiting for them before 5:30.
