    Greetings Ola Family,

    I extend a warm welcome to the commencement of the 8th-grade academic year. It fills me with great enthusiasm to introduce myself as your ELA (English Language Arts) teacher. My name is Mr. Stanley, and I am honored to be entering my third year of teaching at Ola Middle School. I also proudly serve as a coach for cross country, football, and baseball teams at Ola Middle/High. Before venturing into the field of education, I enjoyed a successful tenure of 25 years as an executive manager with the esteemed Target Corporation. I am confident that my diverse professional background will contribute a fresh and distinctive perspective to our classroom.

    I pursued my educational journey at Eastern Michigan University, where I obtained a post-baccalaureate certificate in secondary education, specializing in Social Studies in 2021. I gained valuable teaching experience during my student teaching period at Oak Valley Middle School in Commerce Township, Michigan. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

    Apart from my professional pursuits, I have a son named Hayden, who recently got married. He and his wife Morgan are proud owners of the "Fire and Ice" restaurant situated on Jackson Lake. During weekends and summers, I gladly dedicate my time to assisting them at the restaurant. If time permits, I indulge in leisure activities like golfing or cherishing moments on the lake with friends and family.

    As both a parent and teacher, I deeply comprehend the significance of providing an outstanding education. I share your devotion to your student's well-being and assure you that they will receive a top-notch education, one that will equip them for their future endeavors.
