Katina Ferguson
Greetings!
My name is Katina Ferguson and I am delighted to join the “Eagle’s Landing Family”. As the newest addition to the administrative team, I will be working with the 6th & 7th grade classes this school year.
I am a proud native of High Point, North Carolina. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Elementary Education from Winston-Salem State University in 1996, my Master of Science degree in School Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in 2001, and my post-certification licensure in Educational Leadership from High Point University in 2006. Currently, I am working toward completing my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University.
My teaching career started in Guilford County Schools at Bessemer Elementary School from 1997 – 2001. I then served as a school counselor at Northeast Guilford Middle School and Ferndale Middle School from 2001 – 2008. As my passion for student learning continued to develop, I stepped into the role as an assistant principal at the middle school level for 8 years before coming to Henry County School district.
In my spare time, I love to read and work in my flower garden. I am married to a wonderful man named Alvin and together we have two adult sons, NaQuan and Matthew, and one daughter, Gabrielle who is a high school senior this year.
I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve Henry County students and their families’. I am committed to making an impact on student success and learning not only for students but for the entire school community. I am looking forward to a successful school year and look forward to working with you this year.
